Podium Toastmasters is a member of Toastmasters International. Toastmasters International is a world leader in communication and leadership development. Since 1924, more than 4 million people around the world have become more confident speakers and leaders because of their participation in Toastmasters.

At Podium Toastmasters, members learn by speaking to groups and working with others in a friendly and supportive environment. The club is made up of 30 people who meet once a week for two hours. The self-paced program allows you to build confidence with every speaking and leadership assignment. Each meeting gives members several opportunities to learn:

Conduct meetings:  Members learn how to plan and conduct meetings.
Give impromptu speeches:  Members present one- to two-minute impromptu speeches on topics that are assigned to them.
Present prepared speeches:  Three members present speeches based on projects from manuals in Toastmasters’ proven communication and leadership programs. Projects cover topics such as speech organization, vocal variety, language, gestures and persuasion.
Offer constructive evaluation:  Every speaker is assigned an evaluator who points out speech strengths and offers suggestions for improvement.
